A bit about me:
I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa where I studied medicine. In 1994 I moved to London and work here as a GP and skin surgeon for the NHS.
I have done figurative ceramics since my student days and sculpture in its various forms remains my great passion.
In 2022/2023 I studied figurative sculpture at Heatherley College in London. The highlight was creating a life-size clay sculpture from a life model which was then cast in concrete.
In 2024 I continued my anatomical studies with a residential sculpture course in Tuscany.
I very much enjoy the discipline and patience required to produce a realistic sculpture, but I equally love making smaller, playful, functional objects out of clay.
graduated with a BA (hons) inphotography in 1997. I have been working as a freelance photographer since then.
